One of the things that you need to think about from time to time is the strength of your password. I manage passwords for an organization and am always aware of the passwords that people ask to have created for them. Some will ask for suggestions and some of the ones that are the best are at least 8 characters long, have a non-standard character included and are a mix of numbers, lower and upper case letters. Here are a couple of examples that are kinda fun:
Wh0kn0ws - that is replacing the o's with zeros
ID0ntkn0w - mixed upper and lower cases with zeros
N0tOffhand - mixed upper and lower cases with a zero
There is a site that will give you an opportunity to test the strength of your password. Visit the
Microsoft password checker site and just plug in your current or future password to get an idea of it's strength.
As always, safe surfing,
Darrell Mishler
